Things I Have Learned: Summer 2010

You Learn Something New Everyday.
If You Don't, You Should.

So I have finished my freshman year at Ithaca College, and have discovered new things about myself already for this Summer.
While I am a pretty open person, I will keep out some of the specific discoveries for the "right" time to be publicized.

1. Hayao Miyazaki is Amazing. Yes I knew this already... but after really watching some of his movies I was in awe at how well the shots and the story flows.
-I love you Tim Burton, But Hayao Miyazaki could probably make a pretty awesome adaption of Alice in Wonderland.
2. I'm in Love with a Place, and that Place is BROOKLYN. I Know it sounds pathetic, but seriously.
3. I really do love books and reading. I am all for getting rid of the old, but my books are the hardest things for me to let go of.
4. I miss writing, and I was a pretty funny writer when I was depressed. (as discovered from my journals... ick)
5. I love my friends and family. Seriously, I get some FUN advice from my family too. I respect friendship more than anything else at the moment. Family, Friends, Brooklyn.
6. I'm way to independent... I like this, but I guess other people don't... eh whatevs.
7. I want to work in a hotel when I graduate from college, get a dream house in BK on the promenade, and just make movies for the love of living.
8. Nothing phases me much anymore. I don't like this. But I do like to be prepared for unexpected events, but I will go with the flow. I'm too chill...?
9. Lynne Ewing's Daughter of the Moon Series should be a Television Series.
10. I like hanging out with groups of people, rather than being alone or one-on-one. Sometimes one-on-one is okay...
11. I love cooking. Baking is a Science, Cooking is an Art. (TV is a Science, Film is an Art)

12. When I'm bad... I feel alive, and fun, and... a little guilty.
13. I miss my girls from NYC alot... I love seeing you guys.
14. I've usually had more girl friends than guy friends... but I think I would be alot more sane if I hung out with more guys.
15. I am very comfortable in my own skin, but I hate it when people talk about my body, or their body. Unless they are talking about positives and loving themselves.
16. Mixed Berry Sorbet (Raspberries, Blueberries, Maison Berries -wtf ) before frozen looks like BLOOD! After frozen looks like coagulated blood/ Spleen! XD But YUMMY! (Made it with Mami!)
17. When trying to figure out a place to walk to, don't ask a man, specifically AMP. He will confuse 8th STREET with 8th AVENUE, and subject himself to being checked out in the gay village.
18. "No Strings" is a wonderful thing.
19. Giraffes are Tall, or that storage place was lying to me, and made me trip for nothing.
20. Not all Brooklyn Pizza is good... ;-;
21. People don't like me... and that makes me sad... but I guess we all have our faults
22. I'm scared of telling my mom I hang out with boys... >.>
23. If money weren't an issue, life would be better. Capitalism sucks...
24. Friendship is wonderful. Friendship movies are wonderful. Friendship books are wonderful.
25. I'd really like to go out late at night and roam the streets with laughs and living and love.
26. My goals are really big and all meant for far into the future.
27. It pays to be good by day, but at night- the villains have fun.
28. I can be cowardly, and selfish sometimes.
29. NYC is magical... it inspires me... especially when I've been away for a long time, but the best thing is Brooklyn.
30. I love getting lost and finding my way. Life is an Adventure.

Hopefully I will have one to count for each day of Summer by the time I have to get back to school...
